Committees will be up and rolling following a summer of rest and relaxation. If you would like to help, consider joining one of the many committees and/or groups at Advent.

Committees and their chairpersons are listed in the Advent Parish Directory. Please consider also whether you might be willing to serve on Council, as the nomination committee will be searching for interested persons to fill these positions. If you have any questions, please speak to the Pastor or councilperson. They wiould be delighted to hear from you.

There are many available opportunities, and we would be more than happy to have your help. This is the time! Fall is the beginning of a number of groups here at Advent, and we heartily invite you to join any one or more.

Senior Choir
Senior Choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 7pm and always welcomes new singers. This is a fun-loving group of people who love to sing, and it is open to high school and adults.

Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir meets on Sunday mornings between services and plays beautiful music on the second Sunday of each month. Sandy is the very enthusiastic director, and we always hear a good deal of laughter coming out of the music room on those Sundays.

Evening Circle
The ladies of the Evening Circle meet on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. Our first meeting this fall is Spetember 18th, at which time we will plan for programs for the year ahead. This too is a great group of ladies.

Syzygy Group
The Syzygy Group usually meets on the first Monday of each month at 5:30pm beginning with a light supper. This group developed out of a session on small groups and consists of a number of women who like to get things done. They are currently completing a remodeling project of the upstairs kitchen.

Sunday School
How about teaching? Lisa is looking for persons willing to take some time on Sunday mornings (not every Sunday) to teach our young children what it means to be a good Christian person. What better way could you possbly minister?
